Drain The Swamp – William Barr’s DOJ Launches Legal Assault To Roll Back Sanctuary Cities
One thing I cannot understand is why Liberals seem to want sex offenders, criminal gangs, drug dealers, murderers, criminal illegal aliens, rapists and thieves and so on. Why do they want them around and even protect them if they can?
Luckily for us, we elected the right person considering the state of our country after eight years of Obama. Straight up, this man has the intelligence, the desire, and the commitment to maintain our Constitution and our rights in this country.
Sanctuary cities are something that President Trump opposes since day one.
And today his main man for the job William Barr decided to react.
As Washington Times reported the Justice Department unleashed a legal assault on sanctuary jurisdictions across the country Monday, filing a new round of civil lawsuits asking judges to overturn the policies, and warning state and city officials they could soon face their own criminal charges for harboring illegal immigrants.
Lawsuits were filed against California, New Jersey and King County, in Washington, each of which has adopted novel ways of interfering with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s ability to arrest, detain and deport illegal immigrants.
Attorney General William P. Barr also said his department is taking a look at state and local prosecutors who pursue lesser charges against illegal immigrants in order to keep their rap sheets cleaner, and keep them off ICE’s radar.
Barr also said:
“Today is a significant escalation in the federal government’s efforts to confront the resistance of sanctuary cities,” Mr. Barr said in remarks to the National Sheriff’s Association, where he unveiled the legal barrage. “We will consider taking action against any jurisdiction that, or any politician who, unlawfully obstructs the federal enforcement of immigration law.”
Liberals opening our doors to criminals are “chumming” for votes while taking all innocent citizens down the toilet with them.
The sanctuary cities are a disgrace to the country! The full force of the DOJ should come down on them and cut off all federal funds to cities and states that want their own definition of ”following the law.” State officials who encourage these law breaking people to come to the state should be held accountable for violating their oath of office.
