Cassidy, 67, was admitted to the unidentified facility earlier this week.
His family has been warned to prepare for the worst, TMZ states. Doctors believe he could die without an urgent transplant.
Certain site City Herald claimed that his publicist, JoAnn Geffen confirmed his passing Saturday evening; noting, “It is with deepest sorrow that I inform you of the death of David Cassidy.”

David Cassidy was sent to the ICU in a Florida hospital on Sunday as his condition started to worsen, a representative confirmed.
“He’s in the ICU and being taken care of as best as possible right now,” Cassidy’s representative told the New York Daily News on Sunday afternoon.
