Daunte Wright’s Family Hires George Floyd’s Legal Team After The Bodycam Footage Revealed That The Officer Draw Her Gun Instead Of Her Taser (Video)
Brooklyn Center, MN police on Monday released bodycam footage of the moments leading to the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Daunte Wright.
The bodycam footage shows that Daunte Wright resisted arrest and fled the scene.
Police were in the process of cuffing Wright during a traffic stop when he broke free and jumped in his car.
The officer screamed, “Taser! Taser! Taser!” before she discharged her weapon.
According to the police chief, the officer “accidentally discharged” her weapon instead of using a taser.
Daunte Wright crashed his car after he tried to flee the scene.

Mr. Wright’s death also occurred as Minneapolis heads towards the final stages of the trial of Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer charged with murdering Mr. Floyd.
