Whoopi Tries to Defend the Gay Olympian By Attacking Pence… Instead Makes Things Much Worse

On Thursday’s The View show,“The View” co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg decided to defend the gay Olympian who’s been continuously attacking Vice President Pence. According to her, asking a gay person to meet Mike Pence is the same exact thing as asking a Jew to meet with a Nazi.

Goldberg defended the decision of the Olympic skater Adam Rippon to turn down the opportunity to meet with Vice President Mike Pence because of his views on gay rights by suggesting that meeting with Pence would be like a Jew having a meeting with a Nazi.

Goldberg brought up Vice President Pence and filled in viewers: “A past controversy of his is coming back to bite him right square on the face because openly gay Olympic skater Adam Rippon reportedly declined an invite to sit with the VP because he says Pence funded gay conversion therapy in the past which Pence says is not true.”

But instead, she only ended up making the situation much worse.

Fact… Mike invited the skater, overlooking his own views. Has the skater ever invited VP Pence anywhere to talk? No, but instead refused to meet Mike because he could not overlook his own opinions and views. Therefore the skater is the exact definition of the word bigot. One who cannot except someone else’s opinions and views.

From Daily Wire:

Openly gay Olympic figure skater Adam Rippon is being hailed as a hero for refusing to meet with Vice President Mike Pence, whom he accused of “funding gay conversion therapy,” despite Pence’s repeated efforts to respond to Rippon’s claims and clear the air.

USA Today called the interaction a “bizarre battle,” and implied that Pence is locked in a feud with an Olympic athlete, even though it seems it’s Rippon who would prefer to stand by an incorrect statement rather than sit down with the high profile official he’s accused — wrongly, according to Pence’s office — of supporting a horrific practice involving electroshock therapy.

“You mean Mike Pence, the same Mike Pence that funded gay conversion therapy? I’m not buying it,” Rippon told reporters when Pence was announced as the administration’s choice for top Olympic delegate.

“[Pence] was so concerned about the criticism he received from U.S. Olympic figure skater Adam Rippon that his staff went to the extraordinary length of asking the U.S. Olympic Committee to set up a conversation between the two — an offer Rippon turned down,” USA Today reported, hailing Rippon as “not backing down” on Twitter.

Rippon’s claims are, apparently, based on a rumor that circulated during the 2016 presidential campaign that, while running for Congress, Pence supported — and even suggested funding — “gay conversion therapy,” a strange idea from Evangelical circles in the early 2000s that claimed homosexuality could be “cured” by inpatient psychological treatment, and sometimes included electroshock therapy.

But even Snopes admits that Pence’s website doesn’t make any claims of conversion therapy efficacy, nor does it say the vice president supports anything remotely in line with electroshock therapy

People like you are one reason why President Trump won the election, Whoopi! The absurdity of the comparisons of President Trump, V.P. Pence etc. being “Nazis” is this. If the current administration really were Nazis, “The View” & its panel of bats would be dead or imprisoned by now.

Whoopi is twisting lies all the time. She covers up the truth, just like the rest of the left-wing social media networks.

Also, if an athlete cannot be focused on their sport and proud of their country they should be cut from the team, and if they disrespect their country they should be sent home.
