‘Tolerant’ Left’s Dark Side: Dem AG Nominee’s Texts Reveal Shooting Fantasy Against GOP Speaker
The so-called “tolerant” left just can’t help exposing their violent underbelly, and this latest bombshell from Virginia is a doozy that could swing a key race. National Review dropped a explosive report on Friday, October 3, 2025, revealing shocking text messages from Jay Jones, the Democratic nominee for Virginia attorney general. Back on August 8, 2022, Jones went on a deranged rant in a private chat with former GOP colleague Carrie Coyner, fantasizing about shooting then-House Speaker Todd Gilbert in the head—not once, but twice—in a twisted “three people, two bullets” scenario pitting Gilbert against Hitler and Pol Pot. Yeah, you read that right: this guy’s equating a Republican leader to history’s worst tyrants and dreaming of executing him.
It all started when Jones got triggered by bipartisan tributes to the late centrist Democrat Joe Johnson Jr. He mocked the “glowing” eulogies from Republicans like Gilbert, texting he’d “piss on their graves” if they died first. Then came the killer fantasy: “Gilbert gets two bullets to the head. Spoiler: put Gilbert in the crew with the two worst people you know and he receives both bullets every time.” Coyner begged him to stop, saying it “really bothers me when you talk about hurting people or wishing death on them. It isn’t ok.” But Jones doubled down in a phone call, saying politicians “must feel pain themselves” like parents watching their kids die—wishing Gilbert’s wife could witness her child perish to push him left politically. Coyner hung up in disgust.
Jones, a former state delegate, is now in damage control, issuing a lame statement: “Like all people, I’ve sent text messages that I regret and I believe that violent rhetoric has no place in our politics.” He blames opponent Jason Miyares for a “smear campaign through Trump-controlled media,” whining this race is about whether “Trump can control Virginia or Virginians control Virginia.” Nice try, but conservatives aren’t buying it—this is the same left that calls us “threats to democracy” while harboring these dark fantasies.

This hypocrisy is peak Dem: they scream about “violent rhetoric” from Trump while ignoring their own. Remember the assassination attempts on Trump or the left’s celebration of violence against conservatives? Jones holds a narrow lead in the November AG race, but this could wake up Virginia voters. Miyares, the incumbent Republican, has been a rock—fighting crime, defending the Second Amendment, and standing with Trump against the radical agenda. If Jones wins, expect more of this unhinged nonsense running the state’s law enforcement.
Check out the full rant in this X post—it’s chilling. (Video: https://x.com/Jaaavis/status/1974164932670419185) Patriots, this is why we fight: to expose the left’s true colors and vote them out. Pray for Virginia—let’s keep it red and sane.

Mark Van der Veen offers some of the most analytical and insightful writings on politics. He regularly opines on the motives and political calculations of politicians and candidates, and whether or not their strategy will work. Van der Veen offers a contrast to many on this list by sticking mainly to a fact-based style of writing that is generally combative with opposing ideologies.

When are Republicans going to fight back against these people. Remember what Maxine Waters said? Get in their face, tell them they aren’t welcome, refuse them service. Sounds like good advice.
People who would still vote for a democrat, despite all the evidence of their pure evil and conspiracies with Satan (hyperbole, for you ignorant, hard-headed, left-leaning phonies), need to have their pointy little heads examined.
Like all people? I’m in my 50s and I’ve never texted, posted or shared a violent fantasy, especially about killing somebody.
