Substitute Teacher Body Slams A 12-Year-Old Student (VIDEO)
An education is the most important thing you can get to improve your life and provide for yourself and your family a good life. That’s why teachers are very important for the contribution they give to the society. That’s why they need to be treated with respect.
Sadly there are other “kind” of teachers who unfortunately only want to abuse their position and their students by humiliating one student in front of everyone else…
A Western Guilford Middle School substitute teacher was removed from his post after footage of him body slamming one of his eighth-grade students was posted to Facebook. The 49-year-old Paul Stennett was fired this week after a student’s mother uploaded a video of her son, Jose Escudero, being body slammed.
The whole incident started after Stennett confiscated a box of chocolates on Valentine’s Day and threw it in the sink. But when the 12-year-old student went to retrieve his box of chocolates after class, the teacher attempted to grab it from his backpack and then gripped his shirt and pinned him against the wall.
The cell phone video shows the moment when the student is already in the air, in the arms of the teacher. However, it’s not clear exactly what started the confrontation.
The teacher’s body rotates away from the camera, and then back towards it, as the student meets the ground, and then is seemingly held there for a moment.
Stennett was fired for what Guilford County Schools call “disturbing and unacceptable” behavior.
“We reported the behavior to law enforcement and will no longer employ this person as a substitute teacher or in any other GCS position,” Guilford County Schools Chief of Staff Nora Carr stated.
It is strange that a full grown adult, out of the blue, took Escudero and ‘body slammed’ him… Did something go on before that pushed that substitute teacher to react this way?
Still, whatever was the reason, it was wrong for the teacher to do this to a young kid.
What do you think? Is there something more to this story?
