Navajo Code Talker Breaks Silence After Trump Pocahontas Comment – One Day Later He Dropped A Truth Bomb!
President Donald Trump revived his derogatory nickname for Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren Monday, referring to her as “Pocahontas” during an event honoring Native American veterans at the White House.
Trump told the veterans “you were here long before any of us were here. Although we have a representative in Congress who they say was here a long time ago. They call her Pocahontas.”
After making the crack, Trump turned to one of the Navajo code talkers and said, “But you know what? I like you. Because you are special. You are special people, you are really incredible people.
Senator Warren was immediately asked about the remarks by the press while on Capitol Hill today and responded by saying that:
“This was supposed to be an event to honor heroes, people who put it all on the line for our country, and people who because of their incredible work, saved countless lives…It is deeply unfortunate that the President of the United States cannot even make it through a ceremony honoring these heroes without having to throw out a racial slur.”
Donald Trump does this over and over thinking somehow he’s going to shut me up with it. It didn’t work in the past and it’s not going to work in the future.
But it seems that the truth is out and no one is offended by it except for some whiny liberals!
At Monday’s White House press briefing, Sarah Sanders was also asked about the comments and if she thought they were offensive. Sanders said:
“I think what most people find offensive is Senator Warren lying about her heritage to advance her career.”
Reporter and writer Joshua Green met Thomas Begay, one of the code talkers honored Monday, on his way out of Washington, D.C. Green asked him about the event. Begay said he was “puzzled” about the comment but not offended.
Then Begay dropped a very non safe-space one liner:
“The Marines made us yell ‘Geronimo’ when we jumped out of planes and that didn’t offend me either.”

One voice that has been missing in the debate has been that of the code talkers honored in the ceremony.
Do you agree with this veteran?

Code talkers are the best of the best! The word hero is used often but Code talkers of WW 11 are truly American Heros!
