What a great way for a team to lose even more fans and followers. Just disrespect our country and flag for Veterans day weekend!!
Everybody knows that Colin Kaepernick’s polarizing decision to protest the national anthem was a stupid thing to do! Honoring and respect the flag of our nation is also paying respect for those who paid the ultimate sacrifice to keep of nation safe and free.
So far, no owners have fully come out and said that standing for the anthem is a team rule and an absolute must.
A big part of the owners’ collective resistance to mandating such change also seems to stem from a hesitance to side with President Donald Trump after he called out the NFL and lambasted anthem protesters.
NFL players protest is a national sick joke!! They picked the wrong forum and manner on this issue. The national anthem and flag are honored at sporting events for veterans that served and gave their life for our country. NFL players abuse women and yes there are some bad cops but Disrespecting Country, veterans, and a flag is a dishonor, not a protest!! The right to protest does not make it right!!
And it seems that finally, some team owners started to understand that “Anthem Kneelers” are not needed for their team!
According to the Houston Chronicle week the team is reportedly disinterssted in signing any players who displayed a form of protest during the anthem protests that have swept the league over the past two seasons.
The report comes not too long after Texans’ owner, Bob McNair referred to players kneeling during the anthem as “inmates [running the prison]”.
McNair later apologized and said he was not intending to call the players kneeling inmates.
The Cronicle also noted that “there are many who believe if McNair could field a team with all-white, all-conforming all-pro talent, he would.”
This would be a GREAT day to let the NFL know EXACTLY how important respect for the National anthem and the Flag are to Veterans and the people who love Veterans. So important that we will not participate in their two-faced attempt to “honor” Veterans one day while disrespecting us/them every other game day.
So keep boycotting. We may not see this year the big dip in ticket sales, but the proof is when you carry out boycotts for the long haul.
And about Houston Texans, I think they can be our new number one team!
Do you agree?
