Dick’s Employee Sends Epic Resignation Letter in Response to New Firearms Policies

It looks like the criminals will away get everything they want! It’s just the majority of the law abiding citizens that will be affected by tearing up the 2nd Amendment because this will shatter our Constitution.

After the Parkland, Florida school shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School, one of nation’s largest sporting goods retailer Dick’s Sporting Goods is banning sales of assault-style weapons across all its stores.

Dick’s Sporting Goods announced it would immediately end sales of assault-style rifles in its stores and won’t sell guns to anyone under 21 years old.

On Wednesday the chain’s CEO Edward Stack said it was time for the country to do more to end violence.

In an open letter released on its website, he acknowledged the Parkland massacre at which 17 people were killed and credited the student protesters who have been calling for gun reform ever since, saying: ‘We heard you.

“The nation heard you.”

Assault-style weapon sales ended at Dick’s-branded stores after the Newtown, Conn. school shooting in 2012. But the company was still selling them at its 35 Field & Stream locations, which specialize in hunting and outdoors products.

“As we looked at what happened down in Parkland, we were so disturbed and saddened by what happened, we felt we really needed to do something,” Stack told GMA’s George Stephanopoulos.

Stack acknowledged that the Parkland school shooter Gunman Nikolas Cruz had purchased a shotgun at one of the company’s stores in November. Though the killer did not use the gun in the shooting, the realization served as a catalyst for action.

Following all of the rules and laws, we sold a shotgun to the Parkland shooter in November of 2017. It was not the gun, nor type of gun, he used in the shooting. But it could have been.

In a response to Dick’s new firearms politics, Griffin McCullar, an employee, penned this resignation letter.

“I am putting in my two weeks notice. I greatly apologize as my job here has been great; the staff is phenomenal and very easy to work with, the management is full of great people, and the pay is good. I do not have one bad thing to say about this store. However, I cannot be the face of these new gun policies in affect. I find them morally and constitutionally wrong. I refuse to be part of a corporation with these liberal policies. Again I truly apologize for the inconvenience.”

“Sincerely, the 20-year-old employee, that is an avid hunter, who can no longer purchase firearms from the store in which he is a salesman at the gun counter.”

“After 17 people were murdered in Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, the political debate about firearms is, once again, center stage. Yet nothing requiring legislation happens quickly. Now a major retailer of firearms is enacting its own set of policies, and it begins with the immediate removal of AR-15s from its stores.”

Why wasn’t there a call for gun control after Republican Majority Whip Steve Scalise was shot by a Democrat??? Liberal phony outrage. Don’t let a good crisis go to waste Liberal tools.

I hope that Dick’s feels their absolutely moronic decision in their bottom line. Between the revenue they lose from not selling the firearms, the additional sales that were generated by gun buyers picking up the additional gear and the store boycotters, it’s going to hurt.
