Delta Airlines About to Pay Enormous Price Just Days After It Cut Ties With The NRA

Florida shooting was a tragedy NOT a tool for the Democrat Party to go after OUR 2nd Amendment. Unfortunately, they are using Stoneman Douglas High School shooting for political propaganda. It is clear that they see this tragedy as an “opportunity” to promote their political ideology. They will keep using any reason to take control of Our Right to bear arms and will not stop until they do.

A handful of companies have ended discount programs with the NRA as the group aggressively resists calls for stricter gun control after a gunman killed 17 people at a Florida high school last week.

Delta Airlines is the latest company to announce that it would cut ties with National Rifle Association. On Saturday, the company announced that it would end a discount program for National Rifle Association (NRA) members.

“Delta is reaching out to the NRA to let them know we will be ending their contract for discounted rates through our group travel program,” the company tweeted. “We will be requesting that the NRA remove our information from their website.”

The airline was under pressure to follow suit and defended its NRA discounts to ThinkProgress this week as “routine,” saying that “[a]ny group with more than ten people traveling from more than two departure cities, within a defined period, can qualify for a group discount (excluding weddings and family reunions). Delta has more than 2,000 such contracts in place.”

Now, Delta could lose a $40 million tax break for ending its discount program.

Via 11 Alive: “Within about 2 hours of Delta reaching out to the NRA, former Georgia Senator Rick Jeffares tweeted “if Delta is so flush that they don’t need NRA members’ hard-earned dollars, they can certainly do without the $40 million tax break they are asking Georgia taxpayers for.”

“I have supported this tax break for Delta in the past but not this time. If Delta can afford to write off the travel business of all those folks, they clearly don’t need a special tax break from Georgians.”

He’s talking about the proposed jet fuel tax break that would save Delta $40 million if it passes. 11Alive spoke to a representative for Jeffares who sent us a statement on his behalf.

In Delta’s full statement, the company said they are trying to stay neutral during the national debate over gun control. They want to focus on business, but the company continues to support the second amendment.

Cobb County Republican Party Chairman Jason Shepherd isn’t buying it.

“By making the statement at the time that they did, when there is a controversy, it sends the message that they are taking sides in this debate,” Shepherd said.”

When will all these people and companies learn that the NRA has nothing to do with what Cruz did!!! Nothing! But if they want to make headlines, drop discounts, piss people off, then, by all means, go ahead.

We will vote with our wallets!

If you go against the NRA, you’re going against citizen rights and second amendment. We can do without you.
