After More Than 72 Hours Of Silence The DNC Responded To Keith Ellison Domestic Abuse Allegations. Here’s Their Statement!
Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) was accused of abuse by his former girlfriend Karen Monahan. On Saturday night, the son of Ellison’s ex-girlfriend Karen Monahan wrote a lengthy Facebook post accusing Ellison of physically and mentally abusing his mother. Austin Monahan wrote that he saw a video of Ellison grabbing his mother and swearing at her in a bedroom.
On Sunday afternoon the Democrat Party Deputy Chairman responded to the shocking abuse allegations denying everything.
This is the second time Ellison has been publicly accused of domestic violence. Another woman, Amy Alexander, spoke out in 2006, going public with her account that Ellison verbally abused her while they were having an affair. She also said he grabbed and pushed her during an argument. Ellison denied even having a relationship with her.
Today after more than 72 hours of silence, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) weighed in Tuesday evening on domestic allegations against deputy chairman and Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison.
“These allegations recently came to light and we are reviewing them. All allegations of domestic abuse are disturbing and should be taken seriously,” the DNC said in a statement to NPR.
The DNC’s statement didn’t go far enough, according to former DNC communications director Luis Miranda.
“The party has no choice but to suspend him at a minimum until they figure out what’s going on,” Miranda told NPR. “Frankly, it would be malpractice not to. We’ve made it clear we’re going to take these accusations seriously, at a minimum. We set too high a standard not to take this seriously.”
The NPR story went live just hours before polls closed in the Minnesota primaries, where Ellison easily won the Democratic nomination for attorney general.
This is the things that make the DNC the DNC they waited for the end of the votings so that he can win and they didn’t even mention the 2006 case!
Of course, the lying MSM is silent again on this huge case and they reported far less about this situation because it was a Democrat that did this!
