SNL Mocks Fox News Host Laura Ingraham After Advertiser Boycott (VIDEO)
Fox News host Laura Ingraham caused a massive controversy when she posted a tweet in which she mocked gun control activist David Hogg for having been rejected by four University of California colleges despite his high GPA. Thousands of people responded to Ingraham’s tweet, including Hogg.
In a response to Ingraham’s tweet, David Hogg called out twelve companies who had advertising deals on the Fox News show to boycott the show. The boycott had an effect. At least 10 sponsors have pulled their support from “The Ingraham Angle” and Ingraham herself announced that she would be taking a one-week vacation just after the incident and was temporarily replaced by guests.
But, Democrats always laughs at people’s problems. SNL’s Kate McKinnon, mocked Laura Ingraham on the show’s “Weekend Update” segment, about her feud with Parkland, Fla., shooting survivor David Hogg.
“You see the totalitarian left can attack me all they want,” McKinnon-as-Ingraham said. “But I will continue to defend the First Amendment — that’s my right to bully people without being bullied in return.”
“It was good to be back, McKinnon-as-Ingraham said, “after that planned vacation” that “was so fun and so planned and so scheduled a long time ago.”
“The important thing is I’m back. And I’m not going to cave from bullying from the ‘tolerant: left,” McKinnon added, while she made sarcastic air quotes.
She rattled off a list of replacement sponsors “The Ingraham Angle”
Carl’s Sr.: “Leftover Carl’s Jr. Food ground to mush for old people,” Lady Bump Stock: “The lightweight bump-stocks for delicate hands,” Reverse mortgage: “We’ll take that house now,” Malaysian Airlines: “Caught in a scandal and need an escape? Malaysian Airlines,”
She closed with a final advertiser: Cream soda: “The soda for whites. You got the white one, baby.”
SNL show at NBC is going after President Trump and conservatives for months! They are so mean to people. A shameful way to make a living if you ask me.
However, SNL and everybody who attack Laura Ingraham are hypocrites. Hogg and his handlers have made him a political figure his age is unimportant. If he airs his views, anyone should be permitted to challenge them.
Also, the advertisers that left Ingraham show had a huge backlash. Many of them had to make apologies and are trying to undo their mistake. The hardware store Ace Hardware has decided to resume advertising on Laura Ingraham’s Fox News talk show, a week after announcing it would quit ads with the conservative commentator.
So, the bottom line is Laura will be fine, she will regain her old sponsors and find new ones. And Hogg will be enrolling at the local community college.
