Lizzo’s Bold Claim at Harris Rally: “This Is What the Whole Country Will Look Like If Kamala Wins”—Cue Trump’s Next Ad!

During a campaign rally in Detroit, Michigan, Kamala Harris enlisted rapper Lizzo in a desperate bid to energize support. Lizzo, however, didn’t perform but instead delivered a brief speech, taking a shot at Trump and making a bold statement about what America could expect under a Harris presidency.

“I’m so proud to be from this city,” Lizzo declared. “You know, they say if Kamala Harris wins, then the whole country will be like Detroit, okay? Proud like Detroit. Resilient like Detroit.” But instead of inspiring voters, her words handed the Trump campaign more ammunition. Harris, who only spoke for a mere six minutes, stood in stark contrast to Trump’s massive rally later that night, where he commanded the stage for over an hour.

Trump warned that a Harris win would turn the country into a disaster like Democrat-run cities, and Lizzo just confirmed it.

This comment came as a counter to former President Donald Trump’s earlier remarks denigrating Detroit, which he used as a metaphor for what he believes would be the decline of America under Democratic leadership. However, Lizzo’s attempt to flip the narrative might have handed Trump’s campaign a new angle. Her pride in Detroit, while genuine and rooted in a desire to defend her hometown, opens up a debate about what qualities of Detroit—a city known for its industrial decline as well as its cultural and industrial innovations—would indeed represent the nation.

The rally itself was marked by Harris’s brief appearance, contrasting sharply with Trump’s lengthy address in the same city later that evening.
