Racist comments are bad I think we all can agree there! Now, the NFL has come up with a plan to deal with spectators who use racial slurs after Washington receiver Terrelle Pryor said he repeatedly heard the N-word from a fan during Monday’s game against the Chiefs.
Their solution- ban the fans from watching the game.
The NFL is investigating Pryor’s claims that a fan screamed the n-word at him multiple times during Monday night’s game in Kansas City. The multiple slurs prompted Pryor to turn around and yell, “F**k you!” at the fan.
NFL Spokesman Joe Lockhart reiterated that the league is investigating the Pryor incident. While reminding fans that they will face permanent bans for the use of any racial slurs.
According to Pro Football Talk, Lockhart said, “We are looking into all aspects of it and we will report back when we have concluded that review. We have no tolerance for racial comments directed to anyone,” Lockhart said. “Those fans are not welcome to come back this week, next week, or anytime.”
I totally agree!!!! There is no place for racial slurs, anywhere. But still, the question remains- Will players be banned for making racist comments as well? What about NFL players that make sexist comments? Just curious to know if the same standard will be applied here. One of the NFL’s stars athletes makes sexist comments on a microphone in front of everyone the week after giving a black power sign after scoring a TD, and nothing. Pryor CLAIMS someone screamed a slur at him and the NFL gets right on it with threats toward fans.
I am pretty sure that this will be used to attack every patriot that will watch a football game!
I have no problem with kicking anyone out using such terms, INCLUDING players. Or is the NFL just going to stick with their usual hypocrisy?
But, here’s what I find interesting: This is the same league that supposedly supports free speech when malcontents like Colin Kaepernick openly disrespect our nation and slime our nation’s law enforcement officers. The league supports Kaepernick’s (and others who followed down his path) right to free speech while wearing an NFL uniform, including the open categorical degradation of police officers. Police officers are present at EVERY NFL game to help keep order.
The NFL supports the racism against our nation’s law enforcement officers, but will ban any fan who uses racist language against anyone because of their skin color?
What happens if someone calls “whity”?
