JUST IN! Black College Quarterback FIRED After Kneeling During Anthem
We live in such a time of disrespect. Back in the day, your parents taught you to respect. If people cannot respect our country and flag…move somewhere where you can! Do I agree with everything in America? NO! But I love my country and I am proud of all the men and women who have and do fight to keep us safe and for our freedoms!
If athletes can’t stand for the national anthem then they don’t deserve playing football and getting paid millions of dollars in this country. These days it is such an embarrassing shame what America has turned into!
It seems that even their younger colleagues from the college league are starting to follow the NFL millionaires who disrespect our country!
According to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Gyree Durante, a freshman at the Reading liberal arts college, took a knee during last Saturday’s home game against Delaware Valley University.
The team had reportedly decided to kneel before the game and stand during the anthem. The players were told there would be consequences for any other actions. An Albright spokesperson said Durante was dismissed for going against the team’s decision.
“At some point in life, there’s going to be a time when you’ve got to take a stand,” Durante told NBC10. “For me, it just happened to be on Saturday afternoon.
“I was just taught you fight for what you believe in, and you don’t bow to anyone,” Durante said. “I believe heavily in this. So I decided to fight for it.”
Durante said his protest was against social injustice and racism.
Durante, who is from Norristown but played high school football in Florida, was 3-for-8 passing in two games for Albright, throwing for 35 yards and one touchdown. He also had two carries for -8 yards. He remains a student at Albright.
What does it look like to the rest of the world when we turn our backs against our countries values? Does it look like a weak, demoralized society? A society that is left wide open for attack? An attack against our religious, justice, military, family, community, government, American values. NFL made America a national embarrassment when they kneeled for the American flag. When you dishonor the American Flag, you are dishonoring American values. American values were and are hard to fight for. Millions have died to try to defend, protect and preserve our countries values. When we turn our backs against our values, our Flag, we are leaving ourselves wide open for the enemy to attack.
Luckily, more and more people have had enough and are starting to punish this disgraceful behavior.
