On Monday, Trump announced Kavanaugh as his replacement for the retiring Justice Anthony Kennedy, describing him as someone with “impeccable credentials, unsurpassed qualifications, and a proven commitment to equal justice under the law.”
However, the two times failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was just one of many democratic figures to express their anger at the nomination.
Clinton said the confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh as the next Supreme Court Justice is an attack on civil rights, women’s rights, and the LGBT community. Honored with a ‘Women’s Rights Award’ by the (AFT) American Federation of Teachers, Clinton attacked President Trump’s SCOTUS nominee.
“This nomination holds out a threat for devastating consequences for workers rights, civil rights, LGBT rights, women’s rights, including those to make our own health decisions,” Hillary said.
Hillary went on to say the Trump administration is attempting to reverse decades of progress by nominating Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.
Hillary warned that the Trump admin with their conservative majority SCOTUS will take us back to the 1850’s.
“You know, I used to worry that they wanted to turn the clock back to the 1950’s, now I worry they want to take it back to the 1850’s,” Hillary continued.
Everyone else in the country thinks Judge Kavanaugh will do a great job at SCOTUS, but naturally, she knows better than us Deplorable! In the end, it doesn’t matter who Trump picked… the left would still be outraged!
That she does not like Kavanaugh is all the evidence needed to put Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court.
