BREAKING: Sen. Fetterman Reveals Trump Nominees He Supports—And the Ones Still on the Table
In a surprising turn, Senator John Fetterman appeared on Fox News tonight and announced his support for several of President-elect Trump’s cabinet nominees, while keeping the door open on others.
Fetterman confirmed he will vote to approve Marco Rubio for Secretary of State, Elise Stefanik for UN Ambassador, Sean Duffy for Secretary of Transportation, and Brooke Rollins for Secretary of Agriculture.
However, he’s also considering two other controversial picks: RFK Jr. for Secretary of Health and Human Services and Tulsi Gabbard for Director of National Intelligence. Despite facing backlash for engaging with these nominees, Fetterman stood firm, stating that meeting with them is part of his duty as a senator.
“If someone believed everything that’s been written or said about me was true – you can’t possibly know me,” Fetterman explained. “I want to sit down and have a conversation, and I’m really glad that I’ve done that. Some of these nominees I’m going to vote for… but then there are others we’re going to go through the process. But I’m open to hear from everyone, and I don’t know why that’s controversial.”
Fetterman also issued a challenge to his own party, criticizing Democrats for their inability to rally support for the Laken Riley Act. “If we can’t even get seven votes in the Senate, that’s an indictment on why we lost,” he said.
