Video: ABC Compares Tim Walz’s Debate Performance to Joe Biden’s—But It’s Too Late to Replace Him

Tuesday night’s vice-presidential debate between Democratic Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Republican Senator JD Vance showcased two candidates with distinct styles, but for one of them, it was a rough ride. The liberal media may not want to admit it, but Walz’s performance left many questioning his place on the Harris-Walz ticket. In a surprising twist, even ABC’s Linsey Davis compared Walz’s performance to President Joe Biden’s humiliating debate in June—a clear sign that the pressure is mounting.

Video below:

The debate wasn’t particularly nasty, but the tension between Vance and Walz was evident. Vance, with his calm and commanding presence, demonstrated an impressive knowledge of the issues, handling tricky questions with ease and effectively engaging Walz on his shaky record. Walz, on the other hand, seemed unprepared, bug-eyed, and out of touch, particularly when he falsely claimed to have been in China during the Tiananmen Square Massacre—an easily debunked lie.

One of the most cringeworthy moments came when Walz misspoke about being “friends with school shooters,” a comment that left many scratching their heads. Vance, without being overly aggressive, ran circles around Walz on key issues like immigration, the economy, and the Second Amendment. Even CBS’s Norah O’Donnell couldn’t ignore voters’ preference for Donald Trump’s handling of the economy over Walz’s empty promises.

Videos from the debate:

Among those who spoke out was Andrew Pollack, the father of a victim in the tragic 2018 Parkland school shooting. Pollack voiced his disgust, tweeting, “My daughter was killed in the Parkland school shooting. It’s absolutely abhorrent that Tim Walz has befriended school shooters. Disqualifying.”

With speculation swirling about his future on the ticket, many are wondering: will Walz step aside and make way for someone like Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, or will he stick around and face further embarrassment? Either way, his debate performance may have sealed his fate.
Fortunately for us, I think it’s too late for them to change the VP. They’re not going to get another debate and the ballots are already printed!
