Fox News’ Matt Finn confirmed that the two men arrested—one from Venezuela and the other from Ecuador—illegally entered the U.S. through the Texas border in 2023. But it gets worse. One of them was already known to Chicago authorities. Just two weeks before the murder, this same suspect was arrested for allegedly attempting to lure two young girls into his car. Instead of being held, he was released the next day after the charge was downgraded to simple assault. Due to Chicago’s sanctuary city policies, police were barred from notifying ICE, allowing him to walk free and commit an even more horrific crime.

Chicago Alderman Anthony Napolitano didn’t hold back, calling this a complete failure of the justice system:
“Another f—ing failure… They gave him the opportunity to commit another (offense). The offender nowadays is the victim.”
Meanwhile, Mayor Brandon Johnson continues to double down on his radical sanctuary policies, refusing to cooperate with federal authorities while prioritizing protecting illegal migrants over the safety of Chicago’s citizens. Just last week, as ICE conducted raids, Johnson responded with grandstanding, declaring Chicago a “welcoming city” and vowing to shield migrants from federal enforcement.
It’s time for the Trump administration and every sane American to highlight this catastrophe. Sanctuary cities don’t make us safer—they enable criminals, and the proof is lying in a Chicago morgue.

If the police didn’t agree with this policy, they’d find SOME way to notify ICE–even if it meant an anonymous phone call from an off duty cop, outside the station. They either agree with these policies or just don’t care. “I was just following orders” is NOT the American Way. MAGA!

Until I see that mayor in jail, I will not hold my breath on all the bravado coming out of the Trump admin. Actions speak way louder than words, and I am not seeing ANY action in regards to the threats Homan made against politicians not complying. More republiCANT bloviating and cowardice.
