When a man attempted to rob a Fla. bank at gunpoint, he didn’t expect one of the customers to come after him.
Surveillance video from a robbery at a Bank of America in Sarasota, Florida shows what happens when you threaten a veteran’s child.
Staff Sgt. Eddie Peoples was visiting the bank with his son when the 34-year-old gunman drew his weapon and started threatening four bank tellers. When he turned his weapon toward the customers, all bets were off.
“I’ve been through five deployments,” Staff Sgt. Peoples told Fox News. “I’ve fought the Muqtada militia, everybody you can think of, so weapons getting pointed at me, it doesn’t really bother me anymore.” Seeing a gun pointed at his two children was another story.
Like a stone-cold badass, Peoples calmly instructs his children to lay on the ground, conceals their position with heavy furniture, then positions himself between his kids and the threat. The robber collects his cash and exits the building completely oblivious to the un-opened can of ass-whooping that’s walking right behind him.
With his children safe inside the bank, Peoples follows the robber into the parking lot. Peoples entered his own vehicle and immediately drove it to block the robber’s escape.
The petty thug pointed his weapon at Peoples, and Peoples dropped him like a bad habit. The best part? The robber didn’t even have a real gun, it was just plastic.
I really wish we would figure it out to look after each other in dangerous situations, not just after ourselves.
