‘The View’ Thought Pence Would Quietly Standby As They Slammed His Faith, They Were Wrong (Video)

On Tuesday, the View co-host Joy Behar viciously attacked Vice President Mike Pence for his devotion to Christianity with ignorant and snide remarks, saying his faith is a “mental illness.” Behar mocked Pence’s steadfast belief in the power of prayer.
Behar’s intolerant rant began after ‘The View’ played a clip of former White House adviser Omarosa Manigault Newman discussing the Vice President’s faith, where she baselessly claimed on reality television that “Jesus tells him to say things.”
“It’s one thing to talk to Jesus. It’s another thing when Jesus talks to you,” added Behar. “That’s called mental illness if I’m not correct, he’s hearing voices.”
Vice President Mike Pence struck back against Joy Behar’s vicious anti-religious comments. Pence called out the vitriolic nonsense and said that it was wrong for the liberal comedian to openly comparing Christianity to having a “mental illness.”
“To have ABC maintain a broadcast forum that compared Christianity to mental illness is just wrong,” Pence told C-SPAN this week. “It is simply wrong for ABC to have a television program that expresses that kind of religious intolerance.”
“It demonstrates how out of touch some in the mainstream media are with the faith and values of the American people that you could have a major network like ABC permit a forum for invective against religion like that,” he added.
The Vice President was referring to Behar’s fiery rhetoric while discussing former Trump advisor Omarosa Manigault’s baseless assertion that Pence believes “Jesus tells him to say things.”
Great response. Always respectful. They don’t deserve it but VP Pence always a gentleman. Thank you, Mr. Vice President for standing up for religious values and American values!
Joy Behar is not only a disgrace to her heritage, but to the Christian community as well. She is incredibly rude to speak disrespect of the Vice President. I’m with VP Pence. ABC needs to fire her.
Maybe if Joy stopped flapping her jaw and thinking she knows everything she would hear God as well.
Joy is a mean-spirited and nasty woman. If you do not believe in the same things she does, you are beneath contempt. Shows no respect to those who have a different point of view especially on matters of faith and religion.
