This Is Why Trump Just Gave Iran a Two-Week Ultimatum to End Its Nuclear Program

President Donald Trump has issued a stark two-week ultimatum to Iran, demanding an end to its nuclear program, a move that’s sending shockwaves through the Middle East and beyond. Trump’s decision is rooted in a desire to avoid a repeat of the Libya fiasco, where Muammar Gaddafi’s disarmament efforts ultimately led to his downfall. Trump, fresh off his G7 Summit, sees this as a critical moment to leverage Iran’s vulnerability after Israel’s recent strikes.

“Iran must make a deal, before there is nothing left,” Trump posted on Truth Social, his words a mix of warning and opportunity.

This development comes as Iran signals a willingness to discuss limitations on uranium enrichment but refuses to accept “zero enrichment,” a stance that’s drawn sharp criticism from the President. “They’re bending the knee, but not enough,” a senior administration official told Townhall, hinting at the pressure from Israel’s military actions and the economic strain of sanctions.

Libya was a much more extended kind of bombing commitment, and it ended up being regime change,” the individual explained, further noting that if the Iranian regime is ousted, “then it’s not on Trump, because that’s not the goal of his very limited strike.”

However, there is a concern that “we get somebody worse than Khamenei.”

Both Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have issued threats against Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. After Iran bombed an Israeli hospital, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz told reporters that he had instructed the military that Khamenei “should not continue to exist,” which suggests that if the leader is killed, it would more likely be the work of the Israeli Defense Forces.

Trump’s strategy, as outlined, is to use this window to force a deal that prevents Iran from ever developing nuclear weapons, drawing a direct parallel to Libya. “Gaddafi disarmed, and look what happened to him,” the official said, a cautionary tale that’s driving Trump’s urgency. On social media, reactions range from alarm to anticipation, with users debating whether this signals a military escalation or a strategic masterstroke. This isn’t just about nuclear talks—it’s about a presidency on a mission. With anti-ICE protests turning violent in the U.S. and Trump’s focus on domestic order, the international stage is equally volatile. The Truth Social post, with its bold declaration, underscores that volatility, a reminder of Trump’s unyielding stance. For the world, it’s a question: will Iran comply?

I think you got it all wrong. Iran already HAS nuclear warheads. They bought them on the black market from places like Belarus, Georgia, UKRAINE, and Pakistan when the Soviet Union collapsed.

So this is just pure BS about it being about enrichment. This was, is and always will be about regime change. I’ve personally danced this dance before. I’d like to see it resolved in my lifetime. They’re just trying to figure out how to do it without creating martyrs along the way.

It’s a new trick for them. They’re used to MAKING messes, not cleaning them up.
