Sessions Says It Loud And Clear: Anyone Who Enters the United States Illegally Will Face Prosecution
The reality is that immigrants come to America for the entitlements only. Land of Opportunity… They could immediately apply for and get on welfare, thanks to the sanctuary cities across America. But, not anymore!
On Monday, U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions said that the Department of Homeland Security had agreed to refer anyone who enters the United States illegally on the Mexican border to his office for prosecution.
“And the Department of Justice will take up as many of those cases as humanly possible until we get to 100 percent,” Sessions said in remarks prepared for a speech at a law enforcement conference in Scottsdale Arizona.
During his speech, Sessions said that the Trump administration plans to take a tougher approach to families that enter the U.S. illegally by separating parents from their children, instead of keeping them in detention together. When adults are prosecuted and jailed, their children will be separated from them, just as would happen for a US citizen convicted and jailed.
“If you are smuggling a child then we will prosecute you, and that child will be separated from you as required by law,” Sessions said. “If you don’t like that, then don’t smuggle children over our border.”
“If you cross this border unlawfully, then we will prosecute you. It’s that simple,” Sessions added.
The Attorney Generals also said that our country is now dealing with a massive influx of illegal aliens across our Southwest Border, “but we’re not going to stand for this.”
Moving toward immigration policies that consider the best interests of US citizens first – how refreshing! This is how it is supposed to be.
Luckily, President Trump’s priorities, first and foremost, are the people in this country. Our President understands that we Americans come first! Our country’s immigration policies should be designed and implemented to serve, first and foremost, the U.S. national interest.
