Reporter Asks AOC: ‘Do You Think You Could Beat JD Vance in a Head-to-Head Race for President?’—Her Kamala-Like Response Goes Viral! (Video)

The 2028 presidential race is still years away, but Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) couldn’t resist throwing shade at Vice President JD Vance when asked if she could beat him in a hypothetical matchup. Outside the Capitol on Wednesday,  a reporter from Migrant Insider caught up with AOC and popped the question: “Do you think you could beat JD Vance in a head-to-head race for president, as polling suggests, in 2028?” Her response? A cackling “I would stomp him. I would stomp him!”—a moment that’s already being compared to Kamala Harris’ infamous laughter, complete with the same overconfidence.

Video:

This exchange comes after a recent poll by The Argument/Verasight showed AOC leading Vance 51% to 49%—a razor-thin margin within the error range. But her reaction? Pure swagger. “These polls, like three years out, are what they are,” she said, brushing off the early numbers before doubling down on her confidence. Meanwhile, President Trump has praised Vance as a “brilliant guy” and a likely successor, though he hasn’t endorsed him yet. Another poll this month had California Governor Gavin Newsom beating AOC in a Democratic primary, with Vance as the GOP frontrunner.

AOC’s “stomp him” line is already meme fodder, echoing Harris’ laugh track from 2024. It’s the kind of over-the-top bravado that might rally her base but could alienate swing voters who see it as arrogance. Vance, known for his calm demeanor and policy focus, contrasts sharply with her fiery style. This clip might just be the first salvo in a 2028 battle that’s already heating up, proving politics is as much about personality as policy.

I grew up on a farm and we raised 2,500 turkeys each year. I quickly came to the conclusion that a turkey is the dumbest thing that ever walked on two legs on this planet. Now along comes the likes of AOC and Jasmine nig talking Crockett and they make a turkey look like Einstein.
