One of Trump’s Most Vocal Sexual Assault Accusers Just Announced She’s Running For Office

Rachel Crooks, one of the two Donald Trump accusers in The New York Times, is a Hillary Clinton supporter and donor who works for a university in Ohio. She told CNN a year later that she feels like she has been forgotten amid the #MeToo moment in which several prominent men have faced allegations of sexual assault and harassment from women.

Rachel Crooks announced that she is running for the state legislature in Ohio.

“Women are uniting. The momentum is now. I want to be part of it,” Crooks, 35, told Cosmopolitan. She is campaigning for Ohio’s House District 88, a rural area outside Toledo currently occupied by two-term incumbent Republican Rep. Bill Reineke. While the district voted for Trump in 2016, Crooks, an Ohio native who has the Ohio State Democratic Party on her side, told Cosmopolitan that given Trump’s “erratic and ineffective” presidency, constituents of District 88 may very well be eager for new leadership. (Also, in 2008 and 2012, the district went for Barack Obama.)

The Democratic Party has agreed to support Crooks, who currently serves as director of international student recruitment at Ohio’s Heidelberg University, in her uphill battle against two-term GOP member Bill Reineke.

The New York Times says Crooks (and Jessica Leeds, the second accuser in the story) both “support Hillary Clinton’s campaign for president, and Ms. Crooks has made contributions of less than $200 to President Obama and Mrs. Clinton.”

This is a clear example of what the Democrats can offer lying candidates that produce fake news!
