Breaking: Early Voting in Nevada Reveals ‘Serious Danger’ for Kamala Harris’s Campaign—Here Are the Results

Early voting data from Nevada is painting a bleak picture for Kamala Harris’s campaign, as Republicans take an unexpected lead just days into the voting process. According to the Nevada Secretary of State’s office, by 10 p.m. on Monday, Republicans had outpaced Democrats in both early in-person and mail-in voting. With 96,858 ballots cast by registered Republicans compared to 88,983 by registered Democrats, the GOP currently holds an 8,000-vote lead, or 3 percent, statewide. In addition, 59,515 ballots were cast by voters not affiliated with either major party.

Nevada has traditionally been a key battleground state in presidential elections, and though Democrats have secured narrow victories since 2008, this early voting trend is setting off alarms. Political analyst Jon Ralston, writing in his daily early voting blog for The Nevada Independent, noted that Republicans haven’t led in early voting at this stage since 2008, when the “Reid Machine” helped Democrats dominate the state.

Ralston warned that these numbers could spell “serious danger” for Kamala Harris and her campaign, especially as Republicans are also making inroads in Clark County, a Democrat stronghold. While Democrats still lead in mail-in voting (42.5 percent of Democrats vs. 30.2 percent of Republicans), Republicans are dominating in-person early voting, with 51.9 percent of ballots coming from GOP voters.

Clark County, home to over 1.4 million registered voters and historically a Democratic base, is now showing signs of weakening. With only a 4,000-vote lead for Democrats in the county so far, concerns are rising that Harris’s campaign might not have the momentum to secure Nevada’s crucial electoral votes.
