BREAKING: Trump’s DOJ Launches Process to Restore Gun Rights to Millions—Here’s Who’s Ineligible

In a major win for the Second Amendment, President Trump’s Department of Justice just took a bold step to restore the right to bear arms for millions of Americans.

Under a new proposed rule submitted to the Federal Register, Trump’s DOJ—led by Attorney General Pamela Bondi—is reviving the process under 18 U.S.C. 925(c) to allow eligible Americans to petition for their gun rights to be reinstated.

“For too long, countless Americans with criminal histories have been permanently disenfranchised from exercising the right to keep and bear arms—a right every bit as constitutionally enshrined as the right to vote, the right to free speech, and the right to free exercise of religion—irrespective of whether they actually pose a threat,” Bondi stated.

The new process is designed to evaluate applicants on a case-by-case basis, focusing on whether the individual poses a legitimate danger to public safety. The Attorney General will have final discretion in each case.

But don’t expect a free-for-all. The DOJ made it clear: violent felons, registered sex offenders, and illegal aliens will remain presumptively ineligible for having their rights restored.

The initiative is part of Trump’s broader effort to end unconstitutional overreach and protect law-abiding citizens from blanket gun bans. Pardon Attorney Edward R. Martin Jr. added that his office is building a “sophisticated, user-friendly” platform to help streamline applications for those who qualify.

The DOJ is encouraging public comment before finalizing the rule and advises potential applicants to wait for the final system rollout before submitting their requests.

Bottom line: Trump’s DOJ is fixing a broken system and making good on the promise to protect the rights of law-abiding Americans—while keeping firearms out of the hands of those who genuinely pose a threat.

If I recall President Clinton made misdemeanor domestic violence a charge to remove your right to gun possession, and he made it retroactive, let me repeat that…he made it retroactive. Which instantly made millions of Americans ineligible to buy, keep or posses guns, for a law they did do not break in the past, but were now guilty by the stroke of his pen. Thus making them retroactively criminals. No trial, no jury and no method for your defense of the charges.
This unconstitutional rule must be voided to restore the rights of millions of Americans branded as criminals and denied their God given right to keep and bear arms.

I DO NOT cede my 2nd Amendment right at ANY instance anymore than my right to LIFE, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. As the demonrat and commutarded/eurotarded/mozzytarded ignore my soveriegn rights, they, too, will be ignored. Choose wisely.
That is all.
