No Kings Protesters Demand to Abolish the Police – The Massive Irony Hits Them Instantly (Video)
No Kings protesters marching through Washington, DC on Saturday were caught on camera chanting “abolish the police” — while being escorted and protected by uniformed officers the entire way.
The contradiction was impossible to miss. As the crowd moved down the street, one protester led the chant: “I said take it to the streets, abolish the police.” At the same time, Metropolitan Police Department officers walked alongside them, holding back traffic and clearing the route for over a mile, including across the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge.

In another clip, the same group can be heard calling for cuts to the MPD budget even as those very officers stood right there keeping the demonstration safe.

You could not make this up. The left has turned into a living parody of itself and doesn’t even seem to notice.
This comes after multiple elected Democrats across the country have quietly admitted that the “abolish the police” movement was a massive political mistake that cost them dearly with voters. Apparently their activist base never got the memo, because the same slogans are still being shouted in the streets.
The Daily Caller captured the scene perfectly: protesters demanding the end of law enforcement while relying on law enforcement to keep their march orderly and safe. The officers didn’t react — they just did their job, which only made the hypocrisy stand out more.
This is the modern left in a nutshell: radical rhetoric that falls apart the second it meets reality. They want to defund and abolish the police until they need the police to protect their own protest. Then it’s back to business as usual.
The American people are watching these moments and remembering them. The same crowd that claims to be against “fascism” and “authoritarianism” can’t even walk down the street without the very system they want to destroy keeping them safe.
