During a recent interview with Andrew Callaghan titled “Hunter Biden Returns”, Hunter decided to throw out one of the most outrageous smears imaginable, claiming:
“Epstein introduced Melania to Trump. The connections are, like, so wide and deep.”
That was enough for Melania Trump to unleash her legal team. Her attorney, Alejandro Brito, fired off a letter demanding Hunter immediately retract the “false, defamatory, disparaging, and inflammatory” statement and issue a public apology. The warning was crystal clear—comply, or face a lawsuit seeking over $1 billion in damages.
“Failure to comply will leave Mrs. Trump with no choice but to pursue any and all legal rights and remedies available to her,” Brito wrote, pointing out that Hunter has “no viable defense” for the reputational and financial harm he’s caused.
This isn’t Melania’s first rodeo. She’s already forced The Daily Beast and Democrat operative James Carville to retract and apologize for similar Epstein-related lies. She even posted Carville’s groveling apology on X as a warning shot for others thinking about going down that road.

Her aide, Nick Clemens, put it plainly:
“First Lady Melania Trump’s attorneys are actively ensuring immediate retractions and apologies by those who spread malicious, defamatory falsehoods. The true account of how the First Lady met President Trump is in her best-selling book, Melania.”
Hunter had chance to back down. And this morning, when asked about the letter, Hunter didn’t exactly strike a tone of humility. His response?
“F*** that.”
