BREAKING: Feds Drop New Details on Foiled UFC Freedom 250 Terror Plot — Ringleader Was a Non-Citizen
The FBI has released additional chilling information about the terror plot targeting the UFC Freedom 250 event held on the White House South Lawn.
According to the latest details from federal authorities, the conspiracy involved explosive-laden drones meant to create chaos and drive crowds toward sniper positions, followed by a planned second wave intended to storm the White House gates. The broader network reportedly included up to 23 people discussing the attack in encrypted chats.
The Department of Justice has now identified five charged suspects in the case. Among them is the alleged ringleader, Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez, 31, of Omaha, Nebraska — a foreign national. Alvarez, who used the name “Shepherd” in the group chats, is accused of directing key elements of the planning, including drone deployment, sniper locations, and safe zones.
The other charged individuals are Tycen C. Proper, 19, of Danville, Ohio; Bryan Omar Roa, 24, of Calimesa, California; Michael Alan Thomas, 32, of Pinon Hills, California; and Daniel K. Eskridge, 32, of Kidder, Missouri.
Proper’s own mother reportedly made the initial tip to police after becoming alarmed by her son’s behavior, including large ammunition purchases and radical online communications. Proper allegedly spent thousands of his graduation money on guns, magazines, and tactical gear before quitting his job to prepare for what he called “missions.”
The plot was stopped cold through a rapid multi-state operation that began on June 10, just days before the June 14 event. FBI Director Kash Patel and Secret Service Director Sean M. Curran both highlighted the close coordination between agencies that protected the high-profile gathering and those in attendance.
This latest update shows how serious the threat was — and how proactive law enforcement prevented what could have been a major tragedy on the White House grounds. The investigation remains ongoing.
