Video: Antifa Rioters Tried Breaking Into A Federal Courthouse Last Night – They Used A Hammer To Attack A Federal Officer On The Head

President Donald Trump today congratulated the head of the Department of Homeland Security for quelling protests against police violence in Portland. Trump confirmed reports that he sent federal officers to crack down on property destruction at the federal courthouse, because “the locals couldn’t handle it.”

The president brought up Portland at a meeting of military commanders in Doral, Fla., to discuss drug trafficking. His remarks were posted by the White House and reported this afternoon by Oregon Public Broadcasting.

For six weeks, a nightly uprising against racism and killings by police has marched through the streets of Portland, with protesters typically converging at downtown courthouses. On some nights, protesters have sprayed graffiti and set fires at or near those buildings, including the Mark O. Hatfield federal courthouse.

But yesterday the Antifa rioters went one step further they tried to break into the federal courthouse and attacked a federal officer on the head with a hammer.

In the meantime, a review of court records showed 59 people arrested during Portland demonstrations had charges dismissed, including several people arrested on felony charges.

The court records show the Multnomah County District Attorney’s office dropped charges against at least 59 of the roughly 400 protesters arrested since mass demonstrations started in Portland in late May.

In one case, Portland police arrested a 25-year-old protester for allegedly setting fire to a Chase Bank in downtown Portland on May 30, the second night of large-scale protests in the city. The Portland resident was charged with arson, criminal mischief and riot. Right Journalism is not naming the person because charges have been dismissed.
