It seems that the boycott has worked!

Yesterday the owner of “Red Hen” Stephanie Wilkinson finally got what she deserved!

The Roanoake Times reported on Wilkinson’s resignation

“Considering the events of the past weekend, Stephanie felt it best, that for the continued success of Main Street Lexington, she should step aside,” said Elizabeth Branner, president of the Main Street Lexington Board of Directors.”

Today we received an information that The Red Hen restaurant in Lexington, Virginia will remain closed until July 5 in the wake of a continued controversy.

Fox News’ Doug McKelway reported from Lexington Tuesday evening that the Red Hen would remain closed until July 5. A smattering of protesters gathered at the Red Hen Tuesday, McKelway reported, including one who was arrested for throwing chicken manure at the restaurant.

Well until July fifth they are probably closed anyway because the fourth of July . So closing until then makes it seem like we are doing this to shut you up ok look what we did we did close . How can people be so fooled by that. I saw that as soon as I read it . All the while laughing because they did fool you again . The dumocraps know their shit. If it would have happen to them they would not be satisfied with that they would want it shut down for good. Leave everyone out of work so they can go on welfare and depend on the dumocraps.

From Roanoke originally , my husband and I thought about retiring in Lexington before settling in Europe. The one thing I loved about Lexington was the quant little restaurants and shops. And the hospitality of the locals. I just now heard of this drama of a restaurant owner not wanting to serve a patron because of their job and position, in the Trump White House. This is just down right hatred. Would I not be served because I am an ex pat??? When does the hatred stop?? I am glad I did not consider Lexington for our retirement. America is divided and this restaurant owner is an example of what America has become. She has absolutely no respect for herself or anyone else. She is a prime contributor to the negatiism in America. Her actions have caused a division amongst her community and in the State she resides. Sometimes silence is golden! If I were a business owner..I would have kept my mouth shut. Knowing I could lose it all over a political outburst. Everyone is entitled to THEIR opinions…but this owner of this restaurant went too far! Politics is better when you use your power when voting. At the polls! I will never visit Lexington to eat in tbis restaurant. For sure!! But I think karma will take care of that! You know what shut down is in Italian? Chiuso!
