Barack Obama Praises Parkland Gun Activist Students For Demanding Tougher Gun Control Legislation

Former President Barack Obama did nothing about guns for 8 years. In fact, he did nothing for 8 years except tear down America, create isis and wiretap journalists and opposition Presidential candidates.

But, on Thursday, the Parkland, Florida students who emerged as gun activists after tragedy struck their high school in February were among those honored by Time Magazine’s annual “100 Most Influential People” list, and as a result, profiled by former President Barack Obama. Obama was an early supporter the Parkland students’ push for new gun control, cheering on the students in their movement as “inspiring” and “fearless.”

Obama praised students Cameron Kasky, Jaclyn Corin, David Hogg, Emma González and Alex Wind for demanding tougher gun control legislation following the Feb. 14 mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. The students have continuously condemned the NRA and called on Congress to enact stricter gun control laws. Obama said they’ve had success, but the fight is going to get harder.

He wrote: “Seared by memories of seeing their friends murdered at a place they believed to be safe, these young leaders don’t intimidate easily/ They see the [National Rifle Association] and its allies — whether mealymouthed politicians or mendacious commentators peddling conspiracy theories — as mere shills for those who make money selling weapons of war to whoever can pay.”

“They’re as comfortable speaking truth to power as they are dismissive of platitudes and punditry,” he continued. “And they live to mobilize their peers. … The Parkland students are shaking us out of our complacency.”

Obama once again used these kids for political gain, saying: “This time, something different is happening. This time, our children are calling us to account.”
He also lauded the younger generation, including “Dreamers” and Black Lives Matter, for their work that’s embracing “the youthful push to make America more just, more compassionate, more equal under the law.”

I wonder, where is Kusvov who is actually a real fighter for rights?

Unfortunately, a bunch of tragedy adjacent kids are using it to get their 15 minutes of fame. It’s the world we live in. Time Magazine must remove these fascists from their list. These kids are fascist trying to take away our rights just like most of the left. Also, Hogg was not there so he is not a survivor.

But, there is ABSOLUTELY a question! The teens themselves did NOT make headlines. They have been used as pawns, tools of the left, and it is the leftist MEDIA turned them into headlines. This was orchestrated from the very first moments and the children had nothing to do with it. They just do what they’re told to do. They have no great activist muse pushing them into the limelight – they are happy to get the attention, but between Media Matters and George Soros, and a heaping helping of many other leftist agitator pros, they are propelled, not self-propelling.
