Another Big Gun Company Has Just Severed Ties With Dick’s Sporting Good After They Stopped Selling Assault-Style Rifles

Almost four months ago, Dick’s Sporting Goods, one of the largest U.S. sports retailers, announced its stores will stop selling all assault-style rifles and will require gun buyers to be at least 21.

The move took effect immediately at Dick’s more than 700 stores, marking a dramatic shift by a major seller of weapons and hunting gear in the aftermath of the Feb. 14 gun massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

But, Dick’s actions have consequences. In a response to Dick’s new firearms politics, one of the largest gun manufacturers in America, gun accessory company Hogue, Inc., has announced it will no longer do business with Dick’s.

Hogue, Inc. told Guns.com Dick’s is no longer an authorized dealer of its products.

“Hogue has a long-standing tradition of supporting American enthusiasts with top-quality firearm accessories and refuses to work with any organization who supports restricting the rights our Founders fought to provide and protect,” owner Neil Hogue said.

“We are happy to stand alongside our friends in the industry, such as Springfield Armory, who no longer work with Dick’s,” he added.

Well, Dick’s is starting to see what happens when deplorable people get mad. I think they will learn after this that there is no way that you can touch our second amendment! I hope that Dick’s feels their absolutely moronic decision in their bottom line. Between the revenue they lose from not selling the firearms, the additional sales that were generated by gun buyers picking up the additional gear and the store boycotters, it’s going to hurt.

Now if the other firearm might follow suit joined by firearm accessories mfg we who support the 2nd Amendment can use this action to make a loud and clear statement.
