Actress Meryl Streep Breaks Silence And Slams “Disgraceful” Weinstein With A Stunning Statement!

Hollywood actress Meryl Streep released a statement in which she condemned Harvey Weinstein’s “abuse of power,” four days after a bombshell report detailed Harvey Weinstein’s decades of sexual harassment

In the statement, Mery Streep called the claims against the embattled film boss “inexcusable” and called the women who made the allegations “heroes.”

The statement reads: “The disgraceful news about Harvey Weinstein has appalled those of us whose work he championed, and those whose good and worthy causes he supported. The intrepid women who raised their voices to expose this abuse are our heroes.”

Streep wants one thing “clarified” about Weinstein, “not everybody knew.”

“Harvey supported the work fiercely, was exasperating but respectful with me in our working relationship, and with many others with whom he worked professionally,” said Streep.

“I didn’t know about these other offenses: I did not know about his financial settlements with actresses and colleagues; I did not know about his having meetings in his hotel room, his bathroom, or other inappropriate, coercive acts,” Streep said.

Streep also mentions that she doubts that Hollywood journalists knew about Weinstein’s alleged behavior.

“And If everybody knew, I don’t believe that all the investigative reporters in the entertainment and the hard news media would have neglected for decades to write about it,” the actress said.

She ended her statement by showing support for the women who came forward and were brave enough to spoke about this.

“The behavior is inexcusable, but the abuse of power familiar,’ said Streep.
“Each brave voice that is raised, heard and credited by our watchdog media will ultimately change the game.”

She has been in Hollywood for over 30 years and didn’t know…Right, Meryl. Of course, you knew! Everyone in Hollywood knew.

So Hollywood elites like to lecture all of us about our votes, our moral character, racism, and misogyny when they in fact covered up this man’s crimes against women! This guy is a sexual predator and you all knew and let him continue his sick BS, but you get on TV and crucified Donald Trump for a word said years ago. Such hypocrites!

These women should have spoken long ago to save other women from the disgust that they went through, but sadly did not most likely because they were worried about their careers instead of the safety of others.
